Privacy policy

Last updated November 7, 2026

TrulyWho is run by SEK Ventures Group, LLC, 2810 North Church Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States, which is responsible for the personal data described here: yours when you use TrulyWho, and that of the people you search for. Questions: support@trulywho.com.

If you use TrulyWho

  • What you search for. The email, phone number, username, name or photo you enter, any details you add about the person, and the report we build from them.
  • Your account. Your email address and how you sign in (an emailed code or Google).
  • Payments and emails. The email you give before checkout or an Erase scan, used for your receipt, report link and plan emails, reminders if you don’t finish checkout, and news and offers about TrulyWho. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland you can turn the reminders and offers off when you enter your email, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Our payment processor handles your card details.
  • Reviews. If you rate a report: your rating, comment and first name, shown on the site only if you agree.
  • Support. If you write to us by chat or email: your messages and contact details. An AI assistant answers first, can look up the account and plans linked to your email, and a person from our team can take over.
  • Radar and Erase scans. If you use them, we search our data sources and the web for your own email, including whether adult and dating sites hold an account on it, look up the phone number you confirm in public directories, and keep what we find, visible only to you, until you delete your account.
  • Removal requests. To ask sites to delete your data, we keep the details you give about yourself (such as your name, address, date of birth and phone number), your signed permission and the history of each request, until you delete your account. Each site gets only the details it needs.
  • Technical data. Your IP address, country and device, used to keep the site working, block misuse and apply local law.
  • Cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working, and one keeps the version of a page you see the same while we test pages. Analytics cookies, recordings of visits and Meta’s and Google’s ad cookies help us improve the site and measure our ads: in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland they load only if you allow them, elsewhere until you turn them off. Our analytics also counts page views without cookies. Your choice covers cookies and ad tags in your browser, not the server events described below; change it under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

We use this data to provide what you ask for (our contract with you); to keep the site safe, improve it, measure our ads and send news about TrulyWho (our legitimate interests); to keep tax and payment records (a legal obligation); and, where we ask for it, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Photos you upload

An uploaded photo is stored privately and used only to search the web, through a search provider, for pages that carry the same picture. It is deleted after 30 days.

People you search for

A report about someone can hold their names, contact details, age and location, online accounts and photos, and where they work or study. It comes from information that is already public or that licensed data providers make available: social profiles, websites, search results and phone carrier records. We use it, for our legitimate interest and that of the person who runs the check, to help them confirm who someone is before they meet. Reports go only to the person who ran the check and our service providers.

If a report is about you, you can ask to see or correct it, or to have your information removed from TrulyWho: email support@trulywho.com with the email, phone or name to remove. We delete stored reports that match and block new checks on those details, and may ask for proof that the details are yours.

Who we share data with

Our service providers, only to run TrulyWho for us: payment processing, hosting and databases, analytics, email delivery, AI services, customer support and our team’s messaging tools, and the data sources we search. Third parties, including Meta and Google, use cookies and similar technologies to collect information from this site and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure ads and to serve ads based on your past visits to this and other websites. When you start a check, open checkout or pay, our server also sends that step to Meta and Google with your contact details in hashed form, your IP address and browser, whatever your cookie choice. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com and at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info/choices. We and our providers process data in the United States and other countries; for data from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If your plan is billed through Whop, Whop processes its payments and receives the details it needs for them.

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded photos: 30 days.
  • Reports and account data: until you delete them or your account, or until the person a report is about has it removed.
  • Emails given before checkout, if you don’t pay: at most 3 years after your last contact with us.
  • Support chats and emails: until you ask us to delete them or delete your account.
  • Payment records: as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@trulywho.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
